Home made Ice Cream
This looks cool:-) I may just need to try this with Puggle next summer (not necessarily the recipe, just the process)!

I know a number of people who read this are into Kids books. Jen Robinson has been collecting a list of Cool Girls from Kid Lit. Quite a cool collection:-)
Tomorrow night it could be you:-)
See livelurker’s blog for details, and let us know there.
So I thought I’d have folks over on Sunday the 11th to play games. Come by from about 3ish. We have some games, but not a huge range, so feel free to bring more.
I’ll make some Spiced Apple Juice, a cake and the like, and I figure we’ll sort out some sort of takeaway for dinner (if anyone feels like staying).
I’d love to see you here… email me if you need the address.

Listen to a midi version here. We didn’t actually do anything much with this one, barely even listened to it. We’ll pick it up next time around.
Hush, hush, time to be sleeping
Hush, hush, dreams come a-creeping
Dreams of peace and of freedom
So smile in your sleep, bonny baby
Once our valleys were ringing
With songs of our children singing
But now sheep bleat till the evening
And shielings lie empty and broken
Hush, hush, time to be sleeping
Hush, hush, dreams come a-creeping
Dreams of peace and of freedom
So smile in your sleep, bonny baby
We stood, wi heads bowed in prayer
While factors laid our cottages bare
The flames fired the clear mountain air
An many lay dead in the mornin
Hush, hush, time to be sleeping
Hush, hush, dreams come a-creeping
Dreams of peace and of freedom
So smile in your sleep, bonny baby
Where is our proud highland mettle
Our troops once so fierce in battle
Now stand, cowed, huddled like cattle
And wait to be shipped o’er the ocean
Hush, hush, time to be sleeping
Hush, hush, dreams come a-creeping
Dreams of peace and of freedom
So smile in your sleep, bonny baby
No use pleading or praying
For gone, gone is all hope of staying
Hush, hush, the anchor’s a-weighing
Don’t cry in your sleep, bonny baby
